Some humor with your murders

Warning: don't listen to the opening scene while driving; you might laugh so hard that you end up in a ditch. The marked humor in this one makes it my favorite of the six Longmire books I've read and listened to so far, a welcome relief from the grimmer stories, even despite the sub-freezing temperatures and snow that I dislike as much in novels as in life. With George Guidall narrating, this series is better heard than read.

One element that grows tiresome is the way Longmire has to get physically beat up in every novel and give his all in a last-ditch chase, battling his injuries, the elements, and circumstances. It's a convention of the genre but stretches one's suspension of disbelief. Fortunately, you can even laugh about the injuries in Junkyard Dogs.

Another great story.

We all seem to identify with the characters in Craig Johnson ' s books. Captivating.

As always, I loved this chapter of the Walt Longmire saga. The narration is perfect and the story has just enough humor to make a perfectly well rounded mystery.

The funniest book in the Longmire series. Snow, murder and too many one-liners to count.

Might be my favorite in this series.

No, I love this author. I had to buy the book to read it. Craig Johnson is a great writer and I can't wait to see the TV show Longmire.

YES. He was a great reader for this book - at least the other 4 that I could get to copy to my iTouch.

One of my favorites!

Where does Junkyard Dogs rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This was one of my favorites in the Walt Longmire series!! It took awhile to get into the story in the beginning but it was DEFINITELY worth it!

Ya gotta watch out for em!

There are two parts of the story that I laughed until I cried. Mostly charming sometimes hysterically funny, and a decent story to go with it all. I still have a problem matching Craig Johnson's voice to my vision of The Sherriff, but getting there. His interpretation of everyone else is spot on as far as I am concerned.

Walt never fails

I can't say this enough, best modern day sherif novel I've read. The series is excellent, I just wish there was a discount for buying the entire series at once!
